Rapid-Set Polyurethane Adhesive Instructions

  1. Clean Surface

    1. Surfaces must be clean and free from oil, grease, dust, excessive water, ice, or any other material that may interfere with proper adhesion.

  2. Attach to Cartridge Gun

    1. Cut tip on slant for 1/4˝ to 3/8˝ bead. Puncture inner seal with nail or wire and place in cartridge gun.

  3. Apply Adhesive

    1. Using caulking gun, apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces in a continuous bead.

  4. Press and Twist

    1. Press surfaces together firmly with a slight twisting motion.

  5.  Coverage

    1. Coverage: 1/4″ Bead: 10 oz. 32 ft, 28 oz. 89 ft
    2. Coverage: 3/8″ Bead: 10 oz. 14 ft, 28 oz. 35 ft

  6. CLEANUP AND STORAGE

    1.  Clean uncured adhesive with mineral spirites
    2. Dispose of contents/container to hazardous or special wast collection point.
    3. 12 month self life
    4. Store in a cool, dry place in upright position out of direct sunlight and where it will not not freeze or be damaged by low temperatures

  7. USER TIPS

    1. When using on non-porous materials like foam, metal, etc. apply a light mist of water during application to speed curing. 
    2. Cure times vary depending on humidity, porosity, temperature, and materials bonded together. Typical set-up time is 60-90 minutes. 
    3. Not for continuous submersion or use below the waterline. 
    4. Not intended for direct contact with flames or fire brick.

Yes. SRW Rapid-Set Polyurethane can be used on wood, metal, natural stone and clay. On steel surfaces, make sure there are no oils which will deter the adhesive to stick. Quick Tip: for faster set up on steel and aluminum, scratch the surface. Not for use on plastic, rubber, fiberglass or materials designed for continuous submersion under water.
